As you are probably aware, many people (including me) have been working for several years toward establishing a working “citizen participation program” for New Orleans – foremost among them, the CBNO-sponsored NOLA-CPP – but the administration appears to have other plans. Mayor Landrieu single-handedly changed the game in mid-stream by creating his Office of Neighborhood Engagement (ONE) last year, a development which I felt it was time to shed some light on.
I wrote this article following last week’s City Planning Commission meeting, and hope you won’t mind me sharing it here, with a special Foreword by the folks at CBNO. (Look for the article link in the 1st paragraph…) Comments (and sharing) welcome!
