Take care of doggy business.
Being new to the neighborhood is great except when a neighbors’ dog leaves turds in my front yard.. One time I can understand , but the second time two piles — not friendly!!

Dog Found @ Broadway (by St. Rita)
Earlier today, resident Kirk Williamson reported finding a lost dog - a gray mini poodle with pink bows (see photo) - in the vicinity of St. Rita Church, along Broadway. Though he checked with many residents nearby, none claimed the wayward pooch. Do you know whom she belongs to?

If so, please contact Kirk at 504-255-5165. Thanks!

Friendly Reminder About Neighborhood Cats
Whether your cat is indoor or outdoor, you should try to microchip him/her, and if possible, put a breakaway collar on the cat. Recently, a cat I had adopted out was traced back to me because we had microchipped her. Also, if your cat has not been fixed, this is also advisable, as NOLA has one of the worst feral cat populations in the nation.
If you are keeping track of a feral colony, it isn’t a bad idea to get them microchipped, if you can. I get at least one message every week from the LA-SPCA about someone dropping off an ear-tipped (means he/she has been fixed and is probably “wild”) cat (which they will put down if no one claims) at the LA-SPCA.
Remember it’s getting hotter—provide water and create shelter for your pets/colonies! Need more info? Reach me at petnet@statestreetdrive.com
