Telephone Service Cabinet Secured
In response to calls made Monday and Tuesday to the company’s Repair Center – perhaps spurred by prodding on SSD’s behalf by Action Reporter Bill Capo – AT&T sent out a technician to secure this unlocked service cabinet, located on Nashville Avenue.

Of immediate concern, of course, was the privacy and integrity of subscribers’ phone lines. A cabinet of this size serves hundreds of individual homes. Also, with copper theft not uncommon in the vicinity, AT&T certainly did not want this fixture left open to vandalism. By Tuesday afternoon, the cabinet had been secured with a padlock.

NOTE: SSD placed the first trouble call on this matter approximately 1 year ago!
