1. Rear View: “SSD Gazette” for Spring, 1995

    Just for fun, I pulled an old copy of the neighborhood newsletter (generated in Word and printed on yellow paper) from the archives.  Among the headlines back in May, 1995:

    • 4121 State was for sale (today, it’s blighted and headed for Sheriff’s sale);
    • TimG begged for resident-submitted articles (now, you post them here);
    • We had just elected a new President (Dana Worley of 4140 State);
    • Coconut Macaroons were the ‘Recipe of the Month’ (from yours truly);
    • Our ‘Security Tips’ section covered outdoor lighting (submitted by NOPD);
    • Organization membership was around 30 people and we used AOL for email;
    • The neighborhood’s safety and friendliness attracted many homeowners!

    Were you living here at the time?  Feel free to share your memories with SSD.
