NOPD hosts the monthly NONPACC meeting for neighborhood leaders to discuss crime trends in the Second District, and hand out officer awards.

NOPD 2nd District Anti-Crime Walk
The 2nd District Anti-Crime Walk will be on April 4th at 6pm. The starting and ending point is the corner of Edinburgh and Eagle. This month’s route (see map) is approximately 8/10 of a mile. Please come and show your support. Open to the public (no registration required).

NOPD Offering FREE Class to Citizens
NOPD Citizen’s Police Academy
NOPD wants you to enroll in the next session of their Citizen’s Police Academy. It has been a very successful way for the police department and citizens to partnership and develop a stronger relationship to combat crime problems and tackle quality of life issues. You will also gain a wealth of knowledge about police department operations and criminal justice system procedures. The 12-week academy class will introduce various topics taught by city officials and prominent civic leaders.
